PharmWrite Hires New Fellow

July 1, 2017
Princeton, NJ

PharmaWrite, LLC, a full-service medical communications company, today announced the hiring of their 2017-2018 Postdoctoral Fellow, Jessica Men, PharmD.

Dr. Men will be carrying out her Medical Communications Postdoctoral Fellowship at PharmaWrite, LLC, and MedVal Scientific Information Services, LLC (joint appointment). Her responsibilities at PharmaWrite/MedVal will include competitive surveillance reporting, project management, publication planning, clinical manuscript and regulatory writing, slide deck development, and gap analyses. The academic teaching certification component of the PharmaWrite/MedVal Fellowship gives Dr. Men the opportunity to serve as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, which will allow her to build her teaching skills by presenting lectures, leading discussion groups, precepting students, and developing and presenting CE programs for pharmacists.

Dr. Men received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Southern California in 2012 and her Doctorate in Pharmacy from California Northstate University in 2017. During her undergraduate career, she pursued her dual interests in science and communications by declaring a minor in Health Communications, assisting on research in the Health Promotions field and writing for two campus publications. After graduating, she spent time writing for Tiger Beat Magazine in Los Angeles and COSMOS Science Magazine in Australia. During her time in pharmacy school, she worked part-time both in retail pharmacy and as a freelancer for the American Journal of Managed Care, analyzing and summarizing studies affecting the field of managed care pharmacy.

For Dr. Men, the Medical Communications Fellowship Program at PharmaWrite/MedVal will provide an ideal opportunity to combine her interests in scientific and medical research with the writing and presentation skills she developed during her years at pharmacy school. As a Medical Communications Postdoctoral Fellow, her primary goal will be to advance her pharmaceutical knowledge and critical thinking skills so she can help provide the most accurate and appropriate medical information to healthcare professionals.

Dr. Men is currently an active member of APhA, ASHP, AMCP, and IPhO.
